The Puana Ka 'Ike (Imparting Knowledge) Series is a free monthly lecture series designed to provide an educational forum for anyone interested in a deeper understanding of Hawaiian culture, history and tradition. Each month, noted cultural specialists, marine scientists and lecturers interested in natural resource preservation share their insights and knowledge. Puana Ka 'Ike covers a diverse range of topics such as Hawaiian moon phases and the Hawaiian perspective of the environment.

Night Trails

Arbor Day Celebration (Kumula'au)

Celebrate Arbor Day and learn about Native Hawaiian plants - milo, akoko, halapepe and more. In conjunction with Kaulunani, Department of Land and Natural Resources and Amy Greenwell Ethnobotanical Gardens; guests can pick-up a free plant while supplies last. Enjoy a special display of Hawaii gourds and a demonstration of ohe kapala (bamboo stamping).
7th Annual Kona Coffee Culinary Invitational

This once a year dining experience stars professional chefs "brewing" up culinary cuisine featuring 100% Kona coffee as an ingredient.
